Business Investment Sponsor Category
To be eligible to apply under this category,
You must obtain sponsorship from an appropriate
regional authority of a State or Territory (S/T) government;
You have been involved, for a period of not less than 3 years,
in managing qualifying business(s) or eligible investment(s);
You must, in 1 of 5 years before applying, be managing with
high level of competency (A) a qualifying business wherein you or
you and your spouse jointly own at least 10% of the equity, OR (B)
eligible investments held by you or you and your spouse, worth A$750,000;
Your or you and your spouse’s net asset must value at not less
than A$1,125,000 for the 2 years immediately before applying;
You must make a Designated Investment of A$750,000 on or before visa
decision is made on your behalf;
Upon maturity of the aforesaid Designated Investment ,you must continue
to be involved in a business or investment activity in Australia;
If you are not less than 55 years old when applying you must
secure S/T ‘exceptional economic benefit’ sponsorship;
Both you and your spouse have never been involved in business
or investment activities that are considered generally unacceptable
in Australia;
You must fulfill/undertake to fulfill all of the above commitments
relating to business and investment involvements in Australia, etc
as part of the visa requirements and conditions. |
